Your troubles are often self-created. If you develop firm faith in God and surrender to His Will, He will not fail you. This is the concept of Sharanagati (submission to the Will of the Divine). The bliss that can be derived from this surrender to God cannot be got through any other means. Regard whatever happens to you as something intended for your good. Discover the bliss that can be derived from trials and tribulations. It is during their exile in the forest for twelve years that the devotion of the Pandavas developed to the highest degree. It is not a sign of true devotion to expect that life should be one unbroken chain of happiness and comfort. Is that true happiness at all? Thyagaraja asked whether happiness lay in the possession of wealth or in the service of the Lord. He found no joy in the acquisition of wealth. He experienced the greatest joy in recognising the omnipresence of the Lord. Eure Probleme sind oft selbst erschaffen. Wenn ihr festen Glauben an Gott entwickelt und euch Seinem Willen hingebt, wird Er euch nicht im Stich lassen. Dies ist das Konzept von Sharanagati (Unterwerfung unter den Willen des Göttlichen). Die Glückseligkeit, die sich aus dieser Hingabe an Gott ergibt, kann durch kein anderes Mittel erreicht werden. Betrachtet alles, was euch widerfährt, als etwas, das zu eurem Besten bestimmt ist. Entdeckt die Glückseligkeit, die sich aus Prüfungen und Drangsalen ableiten lässt. Während ihrer zwölfjährigen Verbannung im Wald entwickelte sich die Hingabe der Pandavas zum höchsten Grad. Es ist kein Zeichen von wahrer Hingabe, zu erwarten, dass das Leben eine ununterbrochene Kette von Glück und Komfort sein sollte. Ist das überhaupt wahres Glück? Thyagaraja fragte, ob das Glück im Besitz von Reichtum oder im Dienst des Herrn liegt. Er fand keine Freude in der Erlangung von Reichtum. Die größte Freude erlebte er im Erkennen der Allgegenwart Gottes. In ähnlicher Weise sollten sich alle Gottgeweihten der Allgegenwart Gottes in allem bewusst sein und ihre täglichen Pflichten als Weihe an das Göttliche verrichten!
