You must realise by constant contemplation that the world is the body of God. And you are a cell in that body. The prosperity of the world is your prosperity; feel so, think in those terms and act in that spirit. That is real spirituality. The spiritual aspirant (sadhaka) cannot cut himself away from the world and escape into solitude, for, the world will follow him into the deepest cave or the darkest forest. The sadhaka can claim progress only when he has established in himself faith in the oneness of humanity. Everything and every being are but waves on the surface of the vast unbounded timeless ocean, which is God. Waves belong to the ocean and depend on it for their individual existence; but, the ocean has no need for waves. Ihr müsst durch ständige Kontemplation erkennen, dass die Welt der Körper Gottes ist. Und ihr seid eine Zelle in diesem Körper. Das Wohlergehen der Welt ist euer Wohlergehen; fühlt so, denkt in diesem Sinne und handelt in diesem Geist. Das ist wahre Spiritualität. Der spirituell Suchende (sadhaka) kann sich nicht von der Welt abtrennen und in die Einsamkeit flüchten, denn die Welt wird ihm in die tiefste Höhle oder den dunkelsten Wald folgen. Der Sadhaka kann nur dann Fortschritt beanspruchen, wenn er in sich den Glauben an die Einheit der Menschheit verankert hat. Alles und jedes Wesen sind nur Wellen auf der Oberfläche des riesigen, grenzenlosen, zeitlosen Ozeans, der Gott ist. Die Wellen gehören zum Ozean und sind für ihre individuelle Existenz von ihm abhängig; aber der Ozean braucht keine Wellen. Deshalb seid ihr untrennbar mit allem anderen und allen anderen verbunden.
