In this world, there is no penance higher than fortitude, no happiness greater than contentment, no good deed holier than mercy, and no weapon more effective than patience. Devotees should consider the body as a field, good deeds as seeds and cultivate the name of the Lord, with the help of the heart as the farmer, to get the harvest of the Lord Himself! How can one get crops without cultivation? Like cream in milk and fire in fuel, the Lord is in everything. Have full faith in this. As the milk, so the cream; as the fuel, so the fire; so also, as the spiritual discipline, so the direct experience of the Lord! Even if the attainment of liberation isn’t directly realised as a consequence of taking up the Lord’s name, four fruits are clearly evident to those who have had the experience: (1) Company of great (2) Truth (3) Contentment and (4) Control of senses. Through whichever of these gates one enters, whether one is a householder, recluse, or member of any class, one can reach the Lord without fail!

In dieser Welt gibt es keine höhere Buße als Tapferkeit, kein größeres Glück als Zufriedenheit, keine heiligere gute Tat als Barmherzigkeit und keine wirksamere Waffe als Geduld. Gottgeweihte sollten den Körper als ein Feld betrachten, gute Taten als Samen und den Namen Gottes mit Hilfe des Herzens als Bauer kultivieren, um die Ernte Gottes zu erhalten! Wie kann man ohne Kultivierung Ernten erhalten? Wie der Rahm in der Milch und das Feuer im Brennstoff, so ist Gott in allem. Habt volles Vertrauen in dies. Wie die Milch, so der Rahm; wie der Brennstoff, so das Feuer; so auch, wie die spirituelle Disziplin, die direkte Gotteserfahrung! Selbst wenn die Erlangung der Befreiung nicht direkt als Folge des Aufnehmens des Namens Gottes erkannt wird, sind vier Früchte für diejenigen, die diese Erfahrung gemacht haben, klar ersichtlich: (1) Gesellschaft der Großen (2) Wahrheit (3) Zufriedenheit und (4) Sinneskontrolle. Durch welches dieser Tore man auch immer eintritt, ob als Hausherr, Einsiedler oder Mitglied einer Klasse, man kann den Herrn ohne Zweifel erreichen!
