Only God is your true friend, who has no trace of selfishness and who helps you always under all circumstances. Whether you are in the forest or in the sky or in a city or in a village or on the top of a hill or in the middle of a river, God is always with you, in you and around you. Worldly friends are such that they say hello to you only when you have money and power. Hello becomes hollow once you lose both. As long as there is water in the pond, thousands of frogs gather there. Once the pond gets dried up, not even a single frog will be seen around. The same is the case with worldly friends. But God’s friendship is not like that. He is with you at all stages and in all situations. Love him from the depth of your heart. Take refuge in Him. He will definitely protect you. Did He not come to the rescue of Prahlada, who surrendered to Him completely? Yad bhavam, tad bhavati (as is the feeling, so is the result). God will come to your rescue if you have total faith.

Nur Gott ist euer wahrer Freund, der keine Spur von Egoismus hat und euch immer und unter allen Umständen hilft. Ob ihr im Wald seid oder im Himmel, in einer Stadt oder in einem Dorf, auf einem Berg oder in der Mitte eines Flusses, Gott ist immer bei euch, in euch und um euch herum. Weltliche Freunde sind so, dass sie euch nur grüßen, wenn ihr Geld und Macht habt. Das Hallo wird hohl, wenn ihr beides verliert. Solange es Wasser im Teich gibt, versammeln sich dort Tausende von Fröschen. Sobald der Teich ausgetrocknet ist, wird kein einziger Frosch mehr zu sehen sein. Genauso ist es mit weltlichen Freunden. Aber Gottes Freundschaft ist nicht so. Er ist in jeder Phase und in jeder Situation bei euch. Liebt ihn aus der Tiefe eures Herzens. Sucht Zuflucht bei ihm. Er wird euch auf jeden Fall beschützen. Ist er nicht zur Rettung von Prahlada gekommen, der sich ihm völlig hingab? Yad bhavam, tad bhavati (wie das Gefühl ist, so ist auch das Ergebnis). Gott wird zu eurer Rettung kommen, wenn ihr vollkommenes Vertrauen habt.
