Shutting yourself in a room and offering incense and flowers to a picture or image of God, singing or reciting His glory are very poor substitutes for the discipline that will liberate you from ignorance. All beings are images of God; all men are His pictures; then, why shut yourselves in? All creation is marching on a pilgrimage to Him; why then behave as if you are trekking it alone? You believe that the time spent in church or temple or the domestic shrine in adoration and in ritual worship is devoted to God and the rest is spent for other purposes. But, you cannot demarcate and delimit the realms of God and man like that. God is ever with you everywhere. Sich in einen Raum einzuschließen und einem Bild oder Abbild Gottes Weihrauch und Blumen zu opfern, zu singen oder Seine Herrlichkeit zu rezitieren, sind ein sehr schlechter Ersatz für die Disziplin, die euch von der Unwissenheit befreien wird. Alle Lebewesen sind Abbilder Gottes, alle Menschen sind seine Abbilder; warum schließt ihr euch dann ein? Die ganze Schöpfung befindet sich auf einer Pilgerreise zu Ihm; warum tut ihr dann so, als wärt ihr allein auf dem Weg? Ihr glaubt, dass die Zeit, die ihr in der Kirche oder im Tempel oder im häuslichen Heiligtum mit Anbetung und ritueller Verehrung verbringt, Gott gewidmet ist und der Rest für andere Zwecke verwendet wird. Aber so kann man die Bereiche von Gott und Mensch nicht abgrenzen und abgrenzen lassen. Gott ist immer und überall mit euch.
