Each student is like a petromax light. This light has to be kept burning by the act of pumping kerosene (fuel) from time to time. And the soot has to be cleaned now and then by a pin. It needs kerosene too. Only when all the three are present, the light will burn brightly. Your shraddha (earnest devotion) is the kerosene. Your love is the pin. Your spirit of sacrifice is the pump. In addition, a wick is needed. That wick is the Lord’s name. With the aid of the three accessories, when you chant Lord’s name, your devotion will shine effulgently! This effulgence is the light of the Divine within you. You proceed from peacelessness to Param-Jyoti (Divine Light in your heart), through peace and an illumined mind. The heart of everyone is the seat of the Lord. Students should cultivate discriminating faculty through education, cherish humility and foster faith in the Divine. This is the royal road to the realisation of oneness with the Divine.

Jeder Schüler ist wie eine Petroleumlampe. Dieses Licht muss am Brennen gehalten werden, indem man von Zeit zu Zeit Kerosin (Brennstoff) nachfüllt. Der Ruß muss ab und zu mit einer Nadel entfernt werden. Auch sie braucht Kerosin. Nur wenn alle drei vorhanden sind, wird das Licht hell brennen. Eure Shraddha (ernsthafte Hingabe) ist das Kerosin. Eure Liebe ist die Nadel. Euer Opfergeist ist die Pumpe. Darüber hinaus wird ein Docht benötigt. Dieser Docht ist der Name des Herrn. Wenn ihr den Namen des Herrn rezitiert, wird eure Hingabe mit Hilfe der drei Hilfsmittel strahlend leuchten! Dieser Glanz ist das Licht des Göttlichen in euch. Durch Frieden und einen erleuchteten Geist gelangt ihr von der Friedlosigkeit zu Param-Jyoti (göttliches Licht in eurem Herzen). Das Herz eines jeden ist der Sitz des Herrn. Schüler sollten das Unterscheidungsvermögen durch Bildung kultivieren, Demut schätzen und den Glauben an das Göttliche fördern. Dies ist der königliche Weg zum Erkennen des Einsseins mit dem Göttlichen.
