Just as a baby, after learning to watch and understand, tries to toddle here and there at home, so also the spiritual aspirant learns to toddle in the inner world and understands it. A healthy baby in the cradle waves its arms and legs in glee and lisps in joy watching the lamp on the wall. Similarly, the spiritual aspirant, also healthy in body, mind and soul, lying in the cradle of life, watches the inner world and claps the hands ceaselessly in great glee at that inner joy. This has to be done. Besides, every thought, every word, and every deed has to proceed from the full consciousness of knowledge. Direct your intelligence not to wander about but to dwell constantly in the inner world! This is the inward quest, and meditation is the most important instrument needed for this. The spiritual aspirant can enter the inner quest through the gate of self-examination. That gate accords welcome into the highest and holiest status possible in life to every aspirant who is endowed with humility and devotion. – Dhyana Vahini, Ch 3.

Wie ein Baby versucht Zuhause hin und her zu watscheln, nachdem es gelernt hat, zu beobachten und zu verstehen, so lernt auch der spirituelle Aspirant, in der inneren Welt zu watscheln und sie zu verstehen. Ein gesundes Baby in der Wiege winkt mit Armen und Beinen und lispelt vor Freude, wenn es die Lampe an der Wand betrachtet. In ähnlicher Weise schaut der spirituelle Aspirant, ebenfalls gesund an Körper, Geist und Seele, in der Wiege des Lebens liegend, auf die innere Welt und klatscht unaufhörlich in großer Freude über dieses innere Glück in die Hände. Dies muss getan werden. Außerdem muss jeder Gedanke, jedes Wort und jede Tat aus dem vollen Bewusstsein des Wissens kommen. Richtet eure Intelligenz darauf aus, nicht umherzuwandern, sondern ständig in der inneren Welt zu verweilen! Dies ist die Suche nach innen, und die Meditation ist das wichtigste Instrument, das man dafür braucht. Der spirituelle Aspirant kann die innere Suche durch das Tor der Selbstuntersuchung betreten. Dieses Tor gewährt jedem Aspiranten, der mit Demut und Hingabe ausgestattet ist, die Aufnahme in den höchsten und heiligsten Status, der im Leben möglich ist.
