God is above and beyond the limits of time and space. He is beyond all characteristics and qualities, and no list can describe Him fully. For Him, all beings are equal. The difference between man, beast, bird, worm, insect, and even a god is but a difference of the ‘vessel’ (upadhi). God is like the electric current that flows through various contrivances and expresses itself in many different activities. There is no distinction in the current; it’s the same. To speak of it as different is to reveal one’s ignorance. So too, one single God activates every vessel and gives rise to manifold consequences. The wise see only one uniform current; ignorant feel that they are all distinct. God appreciates the consciousness of unity as the basic motive of acts. He doesn’t appreciate activity itself being one without variety; variety suits various needs. – Ch 1, Bhagavatha Vahini.

Gott ist über und jenseits der Grenzen von Zeit und Raum. Er ist jenseits aller Eigenschaften und Qualitäten, und keine Liste kann Ihn vollständig beschreiben. Für Ihn sind alle Wesen gleich. Der Unterschied zwischen Mensch, Tier, Vogel, Wurm, Insekt und sogar einem Gott ist nur ein Unterschied des “Gefäßes” (upadhi). Gott ist wie der elektrische Strom, der durch verschiedene Apparate fließt und sich in vielen verschiedenen Aktivitäten ausdrückt. Es gibt keinen Unterschied im Strom; er ist derselbe. Von ihm als unterschiedlich zu sprechen, bedeutet, seine Unwissenheit zu offenbaren. Genauso aktiviert ein einziger Gott jedes Gefäß und führt zu mannigfaltigen Folgen. Die Weisen sehen nur eine einheitliche Strömung; die Unwissenden meinen, dass sie alle verschieden sind. Gott schätzt das Bewusstsein der Einheit als Grundmotiv der Handlungen. Er schätzt die Aktivität selbst nicht als eine ohne Vielfalt; die Vielfalt entspricht verschiedenen Bedürfnissen. – Bhagavatha Vahini, Kapitel 1.
