Consider this example: you have built a house with a main door and many windows for proper ventilation. Just because there is an entrance, you will not allow all the street dogs and pigs into your house. You open the door only for your family, friends, and relatives. Likewise, the mind is the main door and the senses are like windows to the body, which is the temple of God. You have to enquire as to who is to be permitted into this temple and who is not to be permitted. But today, no one makes this enquiry. As a result, all types of wicked feelings and wicked thoughts are permitted to enter the mind. Na sreyo niyamam vina (Without discipline, there can be no well-being). Do not develop friendships with everyone. Enquire whether the person is good or not. However, do not hate anybody – Adhveshta sarvabhutanam. Nehmen wir folgendes Beispiel: Ihr habt ein Haus mit einer Eingangstür und vielen Fenstern gebaut, die für eine gute Belüftung sorgen. Nur weil es einen Eingang gibt, werdet ihr nicht alle Straßenhunde und Schweine in euer Haus lassen. Ihr öffnet die Tür nur für eure Familie, eure Freunde und Verwandten. In gleicher Weise ist der Verstand die Haupttür und die Sinne sind wie Fenster zum Körper, der der Tempel Gottes ist. Man muss sich erkundigen, wer in diesen Tempel hineingelassen werden soll und wer nicht. Aber heute stellt niemand diese Nachforschungen an. Das Ergebnis ist, dass alle Arten von bösen Gefühlen und bösen Gedanken in den Verstand eindringen können. Na sreyo niyamam vina (Ohne Disziplin kann es kein Wohlbefinden geben). Schließt nicht mit jedem Freundschaft. Erkundigt euch, ob die Person gut ist oder nicht. Hasst jedoch niemanden – Adhveshta sarvabhutanam. Überschreitet gleichzeitig nicht eure Grenzen im Umgang mit anderen. Habt nur begrenzte Verbindungen und Kontakte.
