The Lord values the mental attitude behind each act. Yad bhavam tad bhavati – what you feel, that you become! Transmute every act into an item of worship and derive maximum joy. Sai is in every being; so, do not slight any. Revere and serve all, to the best of your ability. When someone calls out for water to slake his thirst and you offer him a cup, feel that you are offering it to Me; then, the act purifies you more and cleanses you! It is not the man in need that you serve; you are serving God, that is in you and him! Karma is the flower and Jnana is the fruit. The flower becomes the fruit in the fullness of time. Only, one must guard it and keep it free from pests. Charcoal is wood that has undergone a part of the baptism of fire; let it undergo that baptism to the full; it becomes white and light ash that flies with the wind into the four quarters. Der Herr schätzt die geistige Einstellung hinter jeder Handlung. Yad bhavam tad bhavati – was ihr fühlt, das werdet ihr! Verwandelt jede Handlung in einen Gegenstand der Verehrung und erlangt maximale Freude. Sai ist in jedem Wesen; vernachlässigt also keines. Verehrt und dient allen, so gut ihr könnt. Wenn jemand nach Wasser ruft, um seinen Durst zu stillen, und ihr ihm einen Becher anbietet, dann fühlt, dass ihr es mir anbietet; dann läutert euch diese Handlung mehr und reinigt euch! Ihr dient nicht dem Bedürftigen, sondern Gott, der in euch und in ihm ist! Handeln (karma) ist die Blume und Weisheit (jnana) die Frucht. Die Blume wird in der Fülle der Zeit zur Frucht. Nur muss man sie hüten und von Schädlingen freihalten. Holzkohle ist Holz, das einen Teil der Feuertaufe durchgemacht hat; lasst es diese Taufe in vollem Umfang durchmachen; es wird zu weißer und leichter Asche, die mit dem Wind in die vier Himmelsgegenden fliegt. Die Reinigung des Geistes von den Leidenschaften muss durch das Feuer von Jnana erfolgen, bis der Erfolg erlangt ist!
