Guru Poornima is observed today. Guru means Big. Guru also has another meaning: “Gu” means darkness and “Ru” means dispelling. “Guru” means “One who dispels darkness” (the preceptor who dispels the darkness of ignorance). Guru Poornima is the day on which one celebrates the dispersal of the darkness of ignorance from the mind. Hence, people should fill their minds with the all-embracing Love Principle. To experience the fullness of Love, you have to fill your hearts completely with Love. That will be the result of total devotion. But today, devotion is not total. Hence, the benefit also is partial. Part-time devotees cannot expect total reward! The Lord confers full grace on those whose hearts are totally filled with devotion. Spiritual aspirants may follow any one of the nine paths of devotion and realise the Divine. Heute wird Guru Poornima gefeiert. „Guru“ bedeutet „Groß2. „Guru“ hat auch eine andere Bedeutung: „Gu“ bedeutet Dunkelheit und „Ru“ bedeutet vertreiben. „Guru“ bedeutet „Einer, der die Dunkelheit vertreibt“ (der Lehrer, der die Dunkelheit der Unwissenheit vertreibt). Guru Poornima ist der Tag, an dem man die Zerstreuung der Dunkelheit der Unwissenheit aus dem Geist feiert. Daher sollten die Menschen ihren Geist mit dem allumfassenden Prinzip der Liebe füllen. Um die Fülle der Liebe zu erfahren, müsst ihr eure Herzen vollständig mit Liebe füllen. Das wird das Ergebnis von vollkommener Hingabe sein. Aber heute ist die Hingabe nicht vollständig. Daher ist der Nutzen auch nur teilweise. Teilzeit-Devotees können keine vollständige Belohnung erwarten! Der Herr gewährt denjenigen, deren Herzen vollkommen mit Hingabe erfüllt sind, volle Gnade. Spirituelle Aspiranten können einem der neun Pfade der Hingabe folgen und das Göttliche erkennen. Unter diesen ist die Haltung der Freundschaft zu Gott diejenige, die man hegen sollte, denn Gott ist der einzig wahre und beständige Freund für jeden!
