Devotion should not be a part-time exercise. It should be present all the time, through joy or sorrow, pleasure or pain. “Satatam Yoginah,” declares the Gita. The yogis are in constant communion with God. To be yogis (aspirants) in the morning, bhogis (lovers of food) at noon and rogis (victims of diseases) in the evening are the ways of men today. The true devotee is immersed in the Lord all the time and performs all actions as offerings to the Lord. Any action you do, as a teacher or a student or an employee, when you do it in the name of the Lord, it becomes a pious offering. This is the easiest way to sublimate the mind. When you consider your body as a gift from God, you will not do any sinful act. When you consider your wealth as a gift from God you will not misuse it. You will make the right use of it. Hingabe sollte keine Teilzeitbeschäftigung sein. Sie sollte die ganze Zeit über präsent sein, in Freud und Leid, Vergnügen und Schmerz. „Satatam Yoginah“, heißt es in der Gita. Die Yogis sind in ständiger Gemeinschaft mit Gott. Morgens Yogis (Anwärter), mittags Bhogis (Essensliebhaber) und abends Rogis (Opfer von Krankheiten) zu sein, ist die Art und Weise der heutigen Menschen. Der wahre Gottgeweihte ist die ganze Zeit über in den Herrn eingetaucht und führt alle Handlungen als Opfergaben für den Herrn aus. Jede Handlung, die ihr tut, ob als Lehrer, Schüler oder Angestellter, wird zu einer frommen Opfergabe, wenn ihr sie im Namen des Herrn tut. Dies ist der einfachste Weg, den Geist zu sublimieren. Wenn ihr euren Körper als ein Geschenk Gottes betrachtet, werdet ihr keine sündige Handlung begehen. Wenn ihr euren Reichtum als ein Geschenk Gottes betrachtet, werdet ihr ihn nicht missbrauchen. Ihr werdet ihn richtig nutzen. Wenn ihr alle eure Talente als von Gott gegeben anseht, werdet ihr sie im Dienste des Göttlichen einsetzen.
