If there is anything sweeter than all things sweet, more auspicious than all things auspicious, holier than all holy objects, verily, it is the name of the Lord, or the Lord Himself. Give up the company of the worldly-minded, and the association with those infected by demonic qualities. Keep away from every type of wrongdoing. Seek always the company of the wise, the good. Take refuge in the Lord Himself; He, the pure One, is the perfect embodiment of peace, of happiness, and wisdom. He, the Lord, is seated within everyone. He stays constantly in the place where devotees sincerely and with single-mindedness honour His name. Therefore, first practice intense devotion toward the Lord. Then, you can certainly attain real and permanent happiness and wisdom. Of what use is the pursuit of the fleeting pleasures of the senses? Worship the Lord who lives in the cavity of your heart, nearer to you than your dearest friend, your father, mother, and guru! The Lord is all these and more to you! – Prasanthi Vahini, Ch 26.

Wenn es etwas gibt, das süßer ist als alles Süße, verheißungsvoller als alles Verheißungsvolle, heiliger als alle heiligen Objekte, dann ist es wahrlich der Name des Herrn oder der Herr selbst. Gebt die Gesellschaft der weltlich Gesinnten auf und den Umgang mit denen, die von dämonischen Eigenschaften infiziert sind. Haltet euch von jeder Art von Fehlverhalten fern. Sucht immer die Gesellschaft der Weisen, der Guten. Nehmt Zuflucht zum Herrn selbst; Er, der Reine, ist die vollkommene Verkörperung des Friedens, des Glücks und der Weisheit. Er, der Herr, ist in jedem Menschen zu Hause. Er verweilt ständig an dem Ort, an dem die Gottgeweihten aufrichtig und zielstrebig seinen Namen ehren. Praktiziert deshalb zuerst intensive Hingabe an den Herrn. Dann könnt ihr mit Sicherheit wahres und dauerhaftes Glück und Weisheit erlangen. Was nützt das Streben nach den flüchtigen Vergnügungen der Sinne? Verehrt den Herrn, der in der Höhle eures Herzens wohnt und euch näher ist als euer liebster Freund, euer Vater, eure Mutter und euer Guru! Der Herr ist all dies und mehr für euch!
