God is not drawn into desire; He has no wants; He is full, free and ever content. He has no aversions or attractions. He has no bonds of kith or kin. The Lord is above all attachments; he has no favourites or foes. You decide the distance between Him and yourself. Moksha (liberation) is the stage when moha (attachment) attains kshaya (extinction). How then can the Grantor of Moksha be Himself abridged by attachment? God has no will or want. He does not confer or withhold. He is the eternal witness. To put it in the language that you can understand, He is like the postman, who is not concerned with the contents of the letters that he hands over to the addresses; one letter might communicate victory, another, defeat; you receive what you have worked for. Gott wird nicht von Begierden geplagt; er hat keine Bedürfnisse; er ist vollkommen, frei und immer zufrieden. Er hat keine Abneigungen oder Anziehungskräfte. Er hat keine Bindungen an Verwandte oder Bekannte. Der Herr steht über allen Bindungen; er hat keine Lieblinge oder Feinde. Ihr bestimmt die Entfernung zwischen ihm und euch. Moksha (Befreiung) ist das Stadium, in dem Moha (Anhaftung) Kshaya (Auslöschung) erreicht. Wie kann dann der Geber von Moksha selbst durch Anhaftung beeinträchtigt werden? Gott hat keinen Willen oder Wunsch. Er gewährt oder verweigert nicht. Er ist der ewige Zeuge. Um es in einer Sprache auszudrücken, die ihr verstehen könnt, ist er wie der Briefträger, der sich nicht um den Inhalt der Briefe kümmert, die er den Adressaten übergibt; ein Brief mag einen Sieg, ein anderer eine Niederlage mitteilen; ihr erhaltet, wofür ihr gearbeitet habt. Tut Gutes, und ihr bekommt Gutes zurück; seid schlecht, und akzeptiert das Schlechte, das zu euch zurückkommt. Das ist das Gesetz, und es gibt wirklich keine Hilfe und kein Hindernis.
