The ocean is one and indivisible, but here it is called the North Sea and there the South Sea! So too, the Lord, the Ocean of Grace, is One, but He is assigned various names according to the age or era of time. The holy rivers seeking to reach the ocean flow from all directions; so too, people seek the Lord through various spiritual disciplines and finally merge themselves, all of them, in Krishna. Mankind can win happiness only through unity, and not through diversity. If thoughts and feelings run along the routes of distinction and division, happiness is beyond reach and peace cannot be experienced. Without peace, you have no chance to be joyful. Consider the one indivisible ocean as the goal. How does the direction of flow matter? How does the name matter? The rivers merge in the self-same sea, don’t they? Spiritual aspirants and devotees who adopt the path of yoga, or the path of devotion, or the path of peace, dharma, truth, and love reach the Ocean of Grace at last, and name and form fade away; distinctions disappear. Der Ozean ist eins und unteilbar, aber hier wird er Nordsee und dort Südsee genannt! So ist auch der Herr, der Ozean der Gnade, Einer, aber Ihm werden je nach Zeitalter oder Epoche verschiedene Namen gegeben. Die heiligen Flüsse, die den Ozean erreichen wollen, fließen aus allen Richtungen; so suchen auch die Menschen den Herrn durch verschiedene spirituelle Disziplinen und verschmelzen schließlich alle in Krishna. Die Menschheit kann nur durch Einheit und nicht durch Vielfalt Glück erlangen. Wenn die Gedanken und Gefühle auf den Wegen der Unterscheidung und Trennung verlaufen, ist Glück unerreichbar und Frieden kann nicht erfahren werden. Ohne Frieden hat man keine Chance, Freude zu empfinden. Betrachtet den einen unteilbaren Ozean als das Ziel. Welche Rolle spielt die Richtung des Flusses? Welche Rolle spielt der Name? Die Flüsse fließen doch in demselben Meer zusammen, nicht wahr? Spirituelle Aspiranten und Gottgeweihte, die den Weg des Yoga oder den Weg der Hingabe oder den Weg des Friedens, des Dharma, der Wahrheit und der Liebe einschlagen, erreichen schließlich den Ozean der Gnade, und Name und Form verblassen; Unterschiede verschwinden. Ihr seid gesegnet mit der Verschmelzung im Meer des Friedens.

El océano es uno e indivisible, ¡pero aquí se llama Mar del Norte y allí Mar del Sur! Así también, el Señor, el Océano de Gracia, es Uno, pero se le asignan diversos nombres según la época o era del tiempo. Los ríos sagrados que buscan alcanzar el océano fluyen desde todas las direcciones; así también, las personas buscan al Señor a través de diversas disciplinas espirituales y finalmente se funden, todas ellas, en Krishna. La humanidad sólo puede alcanzar la felicidad a través de la unidad, y no a través de la diversidad. Si los pensamientos y los sentimientos discurren por las rutas de la distinción y la división, la felicidad está fuera de alcance y no se puede experimentar la paz. Sin paz, no hay posibilidad de ser feliz. Considera el océano indivisible como la meta. ¿Qué importancia tiene la dirección del flujo? ¿Qué importa el nombre? Los ríos se funden en el mismo mar, ¿no es así? Los aspirantes espirituales y los devotos que adoptan el sendero del yoga, o el sendero de la devoción, o el sendero de la paz, el dharma, la verdad y el amor alcanzan al fin el Océano de la Gracia, y el nombre y la forma se desvanecen; las distinciones desaparecen.
