Das Navaratri-Fest wird begangen, indem zehn Tage lang Gott kontempliert und sich von allen Unreinheiten gereinigt wird, um die Göttlichkeit im Inneren zu erfahren. Der vorletzte Tag des Festes ist der sogenannten Aayudha Pooja (Verehrung der Waffen) gewidmet. Die zu verehrenden Waffen sind die göttlichen Kräfte im Menschen. Wenn das Göttliche auf diese Weise verehrt wird, ist es einem bestimmt, spirituell voranzukommen. Im Gegensatz dazu ist es jetzt gängige Praxis, das Göttliche und den Gottesverehrer getrennt voneinander zu behandeln. Das ist falsch. Das Göttliche ist allgegenwärtig und existiert in jedem Lebewesen und Objekt. Diese Wahrheit muss aus der Botschaft erkannt werden, die durch den Prozess des Ein- und Ausatmens vermittelt wird, der in allen 21.600-mal am Tag geschieht. Jeder Atemzug verkündet die Botschaft: So ‘ham (Ich bin Er). Mit jedem Atemzug wird die Botschaft verkündet: „Ich bin Gott.“ Diese Einheit erkennend sollten alle Handlungen als ein Akt der Hingabe an das Göttliche ausgeführt werden.

15th October 2021 (Dussera)The Navaratri festival is observed by contemplating on God for ten days, cleansing one’s self of all impurities, to experience the Divinity within. The penultimate day of the festival is dedicated to what is termed Aayudha Pooja (worship of weapons). The weapons to be worshipped are the divine powers in man. When the Divine is worshipped in this way, one is bound to progress spiritually. On the contrary, the usual practice now is to treat the Divine and the devotee as separate from each other. This is wrong. The Divine is omnipresent and is in everyone and in every object. This truth has to be realised from the message conveyed by the process of inhalation and exhalation that goes on in everyone 21,600 times in a day. Each act of respiration proclaims the message: So-Ham (I am He). With every breath, the message is proclaimed: “I am God.” Realising this oneness, all actions should be done as an act of dedication to the Divine. – Divine Discourse, Oct 14, 1994
